NWAS Volleyball AVPFirst Qualifier

NWAS Volleyball is proud to announce that we are now one of the Northwest partners of AVPFirst and AVPNext. We will be hosting our first AVPFirst qualifier tournament on Saturday June 2nd, 2018 at Frenchman’s Bar Regional Park. This will be a Girls U16 and U18 qualifier tournament to feed into the 2018 AVPFirst National Championship. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each division as well as a FREE entry into the this year’s Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament.
Space is limited at 20 teams max per division so hurry and reserve your spot.
Registration is now OPEN and will only be taken through AVPFirst and not a facebook post, link provide:

2017 Seaside Registration Opens April 1st

Registration opens on April 1st 2017.  There will be some more improvements for this year so don’t miss out.

Biggest change will be on the juniors side.  Junior doubles are guaranteed 2 days of tournament play and a minimum of  5 matches, not to mention more prizes!!

Deadlines are FIRM for Seaside!

You CAN NOT sign up the day of the tournament or anytime after August 1st midnight!  Except: Quads & Sixes can continue to register until 5 pm Saturday, Aug 13th

ALL REGISTRATIONS: Close August 1st at midnight, 2016 Except: Quads & Sixes can continue to register until 5 pm Saturday, Aug 13th

Seaside Press Release New Tournament Directors

chamberSEASIDE, OR – The Seaside Chamber board of directors are excited to announce NWAS/Bad Boys Open Volleyball as tournament directors for its annual Seaside Chamber Beach Volleyball event. 2016 marks the 35th anniversary for this annual event. Last year 1509 teams competed on 134 courts. “This event continues to grow exponentially each year,” noted Seaside Chamber Executive Director Susan Huntington. “We’ve reached our capacity to set up courts on the beach so we are focusing on improving the player experience and growing teams by becoming more efficient in managing the teams.” NWAS and Bad Boys Open Volleyball are two Portland groups operated by Deng Thepharat, PT Thilavanh and Mike Griffin. They are active members of the volleyball seasidecommunity and former players at the Seaside tournament.   “We are very excited to share our love of volleyball and our mission of helping grow the sport in our region,” says NWAS co-founder Deng Thepharat. NWAS hosting the 2016 Winter Games of Oregon for Volleyball!

Thank you State Games for trusting us to help IMPROVE and GROW the sport of volleyball with you. The event link will be created and posted soon. Keep your eye out and come join us as we add our NWAS touch to the “Winter Games of Oregon Volleyball.”
